Quantum’s American team, QSFX USA, has supplied effects for major artists at Coachella Festival since 2014.
We first joined the desert festival with Muse and Lorde for their performances in 2014. For Muse, QSFX USA provided the Spitfire Flame System that had already grabbed headlines on tour with the band across Europe. The British trio had headlined the festival four years previously and wanted to step up the effects in order to top their last pefromance. To add that special touch they commissioned bespoke Muse confetti in the style of a US dollar that was snatched up eagerly by the crowd.
Continuing with the confetti theme, the US team also used two blowers to shower the audience with white confetti during Lorde’s performance on both weekends in 2014.

Returning in 2016, QSFX USA was proud to be supplying the closing headline act – Calvin Harris. Becoming the first ever DJ to headline the festival, Calvin’s show was a mighty production packed with chart topping tunes and several surprise guests (including Rihanna!) Our team worked closely with production, lighting and laser design to deliver the perfect set enhancing effects which included pumping CO2 jets stationed around the DJ platform, an array of on stage pyrotechnics, as well as multiple flames effects both on and above the stage.

To finish the night in true festival style, QSFX USA also provided an aerial pyrotechnic display for the finale, lighting up the sky with golds, pinks, blues and reds much to the audience’s delight.
