Biffy Clyro

Quantum first teamed up with the hugely successful Scottish trio in 2010 and has since provided special effects for some of their most triumphant sets on the festival scene.

Over the past few years Quantum has helped Biffy Clyro materialise their epic rockstar style through the application of flames, pyro, and more pyro.

The handheld flares beloved by lead singer Simon Neil have become an iconic image for Biffy fans which is something that has made Quantum proud to see, along with some reviews going as far to coin the nickname ‘Biffy Pyro!’

Simon Neil and Pyro

Highlights for us include helping Neil set fire to his guitar at the band’s first headline act at Reading and Leeds in 2013, and returning in 2016 to the same stage to provide a mighty pyro spectacular for the boy’s triumphant finale.

In 2017 we joined Biffy with a full programme of effects for their headline slot at the inaugural TRNSMT Festival. Check out the action below:

In 2019, Biffy Clyro headlined at the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday. We provided streamers and confetti for Living Is A Problem and Many A Horror respectively, and high-altitude pyro for Black Chandelier. We also had G-Flames with flame bars for Who’s Got A Match, and put our very own FL Flame System to work for That Golden Rule, lighting up the skies with four 100 foot jets of flame. Stingin’ Belle finished the night off with a bang in the form of a one-minute pelt of pyro.
