Returning for their tenth time to the Reading and Leeds Festival, Biffy Clyro played a weekend of explosive headline acts. Quantum joined the Scottish boys on three consecutive nights starting in Leeds, then hopping up to Bellahouston Park to play a set for Glasgow Summer Sessions, before coming back down to close the Sunday night at Reading.
On each night Quantum provided an impressive display of aerial pyrotechnics as the band played the last track of their set, ‘Stingin’ Belle.’ We launched a synchronised show of comets, mines, and crossettes that exploded across the sky in celebration. You can read NME’s brilliant review of the moment here. All three shows were a powerful affirmation of Biffy’s prowess and it was pleasure for Quantum to be back on stage with them.
Quantum was also reunited with the Foals for their triumphant first headline act at Reading on Friday night, and Leeds on Sunday. This was a huge moment in the bands career and Quantum provided the effects to put on a show fitting for the occasion. We delivered a sharp sequence of G Flames including a pair of five finger flames for a rocking rendition of ‘Inhaler,’ and released a storm of multicoloured confetti and a shot of white and blue streamers for finale song ‘Two Steps, Twice.’NME reported that the atmosphere was amped up to ‘white hot levels’ with rocketing flames and blur of colour to finish.
It was a busy weekend for the Quantum HQ, but one filled with the pleasure of working with long standing clients on some of their most triumphant festival sets. A huge well done all round.
