This weekend the X Factor contestants travelled back to the swinging-sixties for Motown week. Quantum was there to sprinkle special effects into the visuals.
Kicking off the performances was Freddy Parker with his version of ‘Aint No Mountain High Enough’ for which we released a chase of Gerbs along the back of the stage.
Next up was Emily Middlemas who stunned the judges with her slowed down rendition of ‘Stop in the Name of Love.’ Helping to set the scene we sent out a veil of low smoke creating an intimate atmosphere for Emily’s charming vocals.
Both Saara Alto and newly arrived girl band Four of Diamonds had a release of mines to add some sparkle to their sets, whilst Gifty Louise’s polished performance of ‘Rockin Robin’ saw 2 and 3ft pearlescent balloons in red, white and pink bounce through the audience and on to the stage.
Honey G’s version of Notorious B.I.G’s ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ began with a stylish kabuki drop that revealed the singer’s blinging set. With dollar signs and flying dollar bills covering the VT we complimented the production with a gold confetti hit that shimmered over audience.
Returning for the results show on Sunday we added pink flame projectors and confetti to Little Mix’s ‘Shout Out to My Ex!’ Stationed on either side of the stage the flame projectors provided punchy blasts of pink flames that added to the girl power fuelled performance.
We cant wait for DIVAS week!
