Robbie William’s eagerly awaited The Heavy Entertainment Show tour came to a close earlier this month in Zurich. Having started in June at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, the tour travelled through 16 countries across Europe, entertaining 1.1 million of Robbie’s fans.

Quantum supplied the special effects for the tour, providing an extra dimension to the audience experience during five of Robbie’s biggest hits: ‘Let Me Entertain You,’ ‘Party Like A Russian,’ ‘Love My Life,’ ‘Rock DJ,’ and ‘Angels.’

Both ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and ‘Rock DJ’ finished with a flash of comets and mines respectively, whilst ‘Party Like A Russian’ was amped up by 12 Stadium Shots Extremes that released an explosion of white confetti and 8 of Quantum’s Spitfire flame units that fired from both the roof and the stage throughout the track.

‘Love My Life’ saw another release of confetti, this time utilising 12 blowers to create a longer duration hit of yellow confetti that spread across the audience as Robbie was lifted through the air by a giant mechanical boxing glove.

For the penultimate encore Robbie finished each night of the tour with a heart-felt performance of iconic song ‘Angels.’ Whilst the whole audience swayed and sang along in the purple hue of the laser display, Quantum provided an elegant show of 30 – 200ft products released from either side of both the roof and stage. A range of mines, crossettes, and comets in purple, blue, silver crackle and gold glitter complimented the lighting and heightened the emotive atmosphere of the end of the show for the whole audience to enjoy.
