Kings of Leon, Jack Daniel’s Bash on Broadway: New Year’s Eve in Music City

| Posted in: Music

For our big New Year’s Eve project this year we hopped over the pond to join Kings of Leon on the Jack Daniel’s stage in Nashville’s musical street party Bash on Broadway. With more than 150,000 people out on the streets in attendance it was a huge showdown of music and special effects galore.

Kings of Leon head lined the main stage and rocked the crowd all the way up to the countdown. Their last song of 2015 was Simple Man to which we dropped our Pyro Waterfall, a curtain of golden sparks that fell above the stage – just like this!

After a major countdown to midnight Kings of Leon were back to see the crowd through their first moments of 2016. Starting with hit song Use Somebody we launched a storm of confetti to celebrate, sending pink, green, yellow, and blue swarming into the skies and across the sea of people. Two songs later they played Radioactive and we hit the audience with even more confetti – in total launching 220 kilos through 22 blowers across the event.

While for those at the back the effect was gentle flutter as you can see here, for the lucky few at the front it was a mighty confetti storm – check it out here!

If that wasn’t enough paper fun for the crowd we pulled out all the stops for the finale song – and everyone’s sing-along favourite – Sex on Fire. We sent 22 red streamers flying through the air and into the singing spectators. Check out the epic moment right here.

Broadway was definitely on fire by the time we were done – and not to mention covered in confetti!

"Amazing show! Best Way ever to bring in the new year!"

Here is what some other attendees of the night had to say:

“Streamers and confetti everywhere! #nashvillenye #bashonbroadway” – kalabrooke05

“Just found a piece of New Years confetti in my purse and it made me sooooo happy #bashonbroadway” – pirataporvida

“Kings of Leon exceeded expectations eight or nine fold – their show burst with the sort of vigor that belies their years in the game.” – David from One A Day

Thank you to Jonathon Hall & Kala Dixon for the wonderful photos of the night!
