Biffy Clyro closed the main stage on the second night of Download this year, headlining the festival for the first time in their careers after having played the smaller stages many times in the past.

Quantum joined the trio with an appropriate host of effects for the occasion starting with a Scottish inspired blue and white streamer hit for the first song of the set – ‘Wolves of Winter.’

With 10 x G-Flames lined up mid stage, Quantum provided some extra heat for the performances of tracks ‘Who’s Got a Match?,’ ‘That Golden Rule,’ and ‘9/15ths.’ ‘Who’s Got a Match?’ saw the flames dance along to the fitting chorus lyrics of ‘I’m a fire and I burn, burn, burn tonight’ whilst during ‘That Golden Rule’ the addition of two Spitfires either side of the stage provided extra punch.

To close in true Biffy style a major aerial pyrotechnic display lit up the sky for the finale of ‘Stingin’ Belle.’ With two positions behind the stage, the Quantum team provided an additional surprise for the audience by releasing an extra two positions on the delay towers half way through the display.
